What is ChatGPT and how can it be used in marketing?

ChatGPT is an outstanding and innovative tool in the business armory. It can speed up your workflow and process by creating unique content on any given topic and allow you to produce more engaging messages for your target audience.

What is ChatGPT?

Let’s begin with a little background information. A chatbot called Chat Generative Pre-Trained Transformer or ChatGPT for short was introduced by OpenAI. It has become the fastest-growing consumer app in history, having surpassed 100 million users in just two months!

When we initially encountered ChatGPT, we naively assumed that it functioned just like Google’s search engine, where you could ask a question and receive a response. But it is much more than that, as we later discovered. For instance, ChatGPT is conversational, unlike Google.

Like in a conversation, you can ask a follow-up question, and ChatGPT will remember your previous statement.
We can confidently state that we have been blown away, especially given that this is a preliminary version.

How to use ChatGPT for marketing tasks?

There are a variety of ways in which ChatGPT can be used for marketing tasks.


We have discovered that ChatGPT is particularly helpful for research work because it analyzes great chunks of information within minutes that would otherwise take hours or days. This frees up more time for other tasks, such as marketing strategy development.

Competitor analysis

It is another time-consuming task that may now be completed in a matter of seconds. We discovered this feature to be really useful and well-performing. It provides a list of your main competitors, their drawbacks and advantages.

We’ve used the feature a lot and it works for just about any type of content. You may go a step further with this and even pinpoint key themes and insights, just like you would when summarizing lengthy text and data, like in the interview mentioned before.


This feature alone might fill an entire article. You can request that ChatGPT produce examples of websites that are similar so you can get ideas. You can also get advice from ChatGPT on how to style a specific website, app, logo, etc. For instance, ChatGPT would suggest that a website for luxury travel would use an attractive script font and include pictures of well-known luxury travel places.

How much does it cost to use ChatGPT?

ChatGPT’s free basic version is free for now. OpenAI recently unveiled ChatGPT Plus, a new, premium, paid version of its chatbot. You may only presently sign up for the waitlist, but when it is available, the cost will be $20 per month. Faster responses, access to new features before anybody else, and access even during busy hours are all perks of ChatGPT Plus.
How to access ChatGPT?

There is no need to download ChatGPT because it is accessible via a webpage. Despite the abundance of phony versions in app stores, OpenAI has yet to publish an official app.
